Following are the biographies of our leadership team and advisory board:
Andrew Neitlich. Andrew is the founder of the Institute and developed many of our training materials. He received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1991. Since that time, he has led almost every type of marketing campaign imaginable in a range of industries -- for his consulting clients and for his own ventures -- including television, radio, print, direct response, web-based, guerilla marketing, referral marketing, and educational marketing. He has served as an interim executive in a number of emerging ventures and publicly traded companies. He has also led numerous consulting engagements for national and international clients, and was the head of training and professional development for a major management consulting firm. He is the author of five books on business leadership and a frequent speaker and writer.
Tristan de la Rosa. Tristan de la Rosa brings an uncommon blend of masterful real-world experience and rich multi-national & multi-cultural insight to the Executive Coaching field. He has over three decades of leadership and management experience, working with the world’s largest and most respected consumer goods companies. Starting out as Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble, Tristan rose to senior Marketing and eventually Country Executive and Board Director level positions in companies that include Kraft Foods, Johnson & Johnson, and the Wm Wrigley Jr Company. He has been posted in some of the world’s most important and fastest growing markets - including China, India, the tiger economies of South East Asia - as well as in the United States. In these assignments, Tristan has successfully led and managed organizations in meeting every imaginable challenge: from overseeing start-ups to turning around problem ventures; from launching brands in a single market to orchestrating complex marketing and business campaigns across an entire region. Throughout the course of his professional life, Tristan has coached, guided and helped shape the careers of hundreds of marketing managers and other executives, many of them today acknowledged leaders in their own right.
Mike Garfinkel. Mike Garfinkel, President of BIG Picture Strategies, Inc. has been at the forefront of the communications and business consulting industries for the past 15 years, having navigated worlds as diverse as Wall Street, Hollywood, and the Silicon Valley. He has represented recognizable brands, companies, and events in such areas as technology, consumer products, financial services, Internet, homeland security, healthcare, entertainment, and publishing, to name a few. Among the diverse list of clients Mike has represented throughout his career are TEAC America (the largest subsidiary of Tokyo-based TEAC Corp., a billion-dollar global corporation), Cheap Tickets, Reed Business Information, Apple iMac giveaway, Samsung Electronics, Konami America, LowerMyBills.com, eMap Peterson Publishing (publisher of Surfer, Skateboarder and Bike Magazine, among dozens of others), Hollywood Film Festival, author Stephen King’s first consumer software product, Foundry Networks, and dozens of publicly-traded companies. He is a former executive of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, the nation’s third largest communications firm, and The Terpin Group, a multi-office communications firm specializing in technology, consumer, and corporate public relations. Mike has been featured in such publications as Daily Variety, Los Angeles Business Journal, and Los Angeles Times, among others.
Michael Salach is an experienced senior executive with a unique blend of entrepreneurial, business development, operational and human resource skills. His experience includes Fortune 100 multi-national corporations, start-ups and turn-around businesses including such companies as Daimler-Benz, Schneider Electric, AGFA, The US Treasury Department, Renaissance Design, Hexel Corporation, FranNet and The Franchise Company. Related industry experience includes automation, electronics, defense electronics, robotics, engineering service, retail & retail leasing, consumer electronics, telecommunications, construction and franchising.
As President of early stage businesses, he formed strategic alliances, raised investment capital, restructured and aligned infrastructure to position the companies for growth or acquisition. The combination of both corporate experience, coupled with his personal acquisition two businesses has provided him a breath of practical experience that has qualified him to assist executives and business owners formulate business strategies, align company and organizational resources with business objectives to achieve specific growth, productivity and efficiency goals that have directly translated to increased profitability.
In 1999 Michael founded The Bay State Consulting Group, Inc. which provides an array of executive leadership / management coaching and business consulting services. Michael holds a BS in Finance and an MBA in Management.
Mike Jezek: Mike Jezek is a copywriter specializing in writing sales letters, direct mail, magalogs and Internet campaigns. One of his letters generated a whopping $441,000 in 1 day. An Internet campaign Mike wrote for another client generated $1.2 million dollars. While another client of his took in $28,000 in 1 day. For over six years now, Mike has been helping clients increase their sales conversions and profits. His specialty is in the consumer market. But what makes Mike's copywriting technique stand out from the crowd is that he employs tested and proven NLP techniques, as well as branding positioning and persuasion wizadry in his copy. Mike Jezek uses an innovative multiple-layer of persuasion technique in the sales messages he writes that achieves breakthrough results. As such Mike has worked with infomercial marketers, some of the biggest names in info-publishing and entrepreneurs with dreams as big as Texas.
Paul Quinn. Paul is the President of Pixel Productions Inc. He has designed award-winning products, packaging, brochures, book covers, postcards, logos, and posters for companies ranging from consumer goods and children’s games to professional sports and entertainment.
Tony Esposito. Tony is the President of Espo Productions Inc., a full service media production company specializing in television commercials, infomercials, and live events. Under Tony's guidance the company produces broadcast commercials for Knology Broadband, Brighthouse Broadband, and clients such as Lifestyle Family Fitness and The Family Safety Institute. Their services includes guiding the client from concept to script writing, shooting, editing, and duplication of the final product. Tony is also a skilled producer of videos and television shoots for live sports and entertainment broadcasts, and has worked with a number of professional sporting events broadcast to millions of homes.
David Henry. David is an expert at designing web sites that are cleanly designed and also compel people to respond, either by making a purchase or by leaving their contact information. His firm is Inbox Art, Inc. and clients include some of the leading information marketers and professionals in the world.
Bernard May. Bernard is a foremost expert in web-based marketing, including search engine optimization and pay per click advertising. His firm National Positions operates in four countries and continues to grow rapidly by providing innovative web marketing solutions to businesses around the world. He has a deep understanding of legitimate ways to increase search engine rankings and his business model combines affordable services with a highly innovative link exchange and site optimization model.
Terry D. Feinberg. Terry is an Educator for the University of Illinois Extension’s Community and Economic Development program. She has two bachelor of arts degrees in communications (Organizational) and political science (International Relations) and a master's degree in public administration.
Terry’s experience runs the gamut from being in charge of community development for the City of Indianapolis under the auspices of the CFO/Administrator for Community Development and Financial Services, to managing editor of the White House Task Force on Reinventing Government. She also served in the US Army as an Intelligence Analyst and Korean linguist.
With the University of Illinois Extension, Terry focuses on programs designed to assist businesses and organizations in developing more positive work environments, employee relationships and robust bottom lines. Most recently she developed a curriculum focused on managing employees from different generations and is working to license the curriculum to independent consultants.
Terry is an adjunct professor of political science and public administration and has extensive experience in professional training in both public and private sector.
Elena Neitlich. Elena is the co-founder and President of Moms on Edge LLC, which designs, manufactures and markets products for busy moms. Her company and its products have been featured on the Today Show, in Entrepreneur Magazine, and in other major national and international publications. She has also been a winner or finalist in major business competitions, including with Ebay/Prostores and Yahoo! She is a master of low-cost online marketing via article writing, guerilla marketing, and creating lines of products with a limited budget.
