About the Institute for Business Growth Certified Business Coach Credential
Certified Business Coaches from the Institute for Business Growth undergo a rigorous training process that prepares them to work with high-profile business owners and executives on a range of pressing issues and methods to improve performance, grow revenues, increase profits, and make the business more valuable to potential investors.
The program includes the International Coach Federation (ICF) approved Certified Executive Coach credential. The ICF is the leading standards organization in the coaching world, accepted by organizations around the world. In order to get Certified with us, individuals must demonstrate the following competencies:
- Follow the International Coach Federation standards of ethical conduct for coaches.

- Establish a coaching contract with clients to maintain confidentiality and create a safe environment for results.

- Ask powerful questions and listen in ways that help clients generate insights about how they can achieve their goals -- while also providing advice and mentoring when appropriate.
- Bring distinctions, tools and frameworks to the client in all areas related to growing a profitable business, increasing the value of the business, making more valuable use of their time, setting strategy, recruiting and developing top talent, communicating powerfully, attracting new business, engaging employees, and creating a company that runs without them.
- Develop and share deep, industry- and function-specific tools to help clients resolve pressing problems unique to their current situation.
To get Certified, our members are tested with rigorous simulated coaching sessions covering all aspects of the executive coaching process, including their ability to handle the many curve balls, challenges, and obstacles that can come up for business owners.
